MAAC studio are running a workshop for community organisations that will reveal how community groups can create the ideal space for delivering their events and activities. Ideal for community groups with historic properties or those looking to acquire them.

The right accommodation will transform your community organisation and its activities you can offer. Historic buildings can offer an ideal solution.
There are many historic buildings that are empty or underused and waiting for a community group to give them a new lease of life. Often located in the centre of the community, built with generously proportioned and high-quality materials. They can be adapted to any need, but only if you approach them in the right way.
For those that already have a building we will discuss strategies for upgrading the building, managing repair and maintenance, and how to comply with legislation and regulations. Everything you need to know to avoid your community asset becoming a community liability !!
We will be running the workshop with Impact Hub Inverness, who will discuss activity planning, financial planning and operational management issues.
Attendees will receive a free copy of "Opportunities for Communities" our guide to project development, which includes useful templates and advice to help you avoid frustrating mistakes.
