As architects that specialise in working historic buildings, Academy Street has to be one of the most interesting streets in Inverness. It maybe only 500m from Chapel Yard to the Market Brae. There may only be 45 buildings along its length, but it has an extraordinary collection of buildings that illustrate the continuous development of architectural thinking over the last 350 years.

From the Renaissance the present day, we will take you beyond the surface appearance of the buildings to reveal the deeper secrets that lie beneath; the challenges that confronted the architects and the innovative solution that led the development of this dynamic and vibrant streetscape.
